The Barbecast

It's just another Manic Monday, which means Barbecast 9 is here to be consumed by some undetermined number of humans. Our special guest is Stevo Sama of death metal fame and fortune as well as his baseball knowledge. You can see some rather vile pictures of Stevo below. He was fantastic and we had no idea what references he was making the whole time. Follow him @yoshiki89. He also bLOLgs about basebLOL at http://xtrabasehit.blogspot.com/. Excuse the plus-plus technical difficulties. Our e-mails include the return of Little Poop, a discussion about our baseball cabinet and debating freedom...or something. Baseball talk includes a long discussion about tiebreakers and our ideas to improve them and make them more entertaining. This of course is significantly less relevant now that the three-way tie can't happen, but it's still a fun discussion mostly revolving around Tropicana Field. Our new segment is TALES FROM LOGDOG featuring everyone's favorite, Lana Berry. We talked for like five minutes and it was almost funny. Thanks for listening <3

EPISODE OCHO has arrived and it is probably my favorite episode we've ever done. Our super special guest is Lana Berry. If you don't know who that is then you aren't reading this because you couldn't possibly be on the Internet. You can follow Lana @lana but you already knew that. We talked for way too long about Lance Berkman, advice for college, and other baseball related nonsense #followlogdog. Our e-mail segment was longer than ever and we got some good ones. Topics included the Amish Red Sox (see below), Old Man Jake, annoying spelling rules and family Poop talk. Baseball talk was brief due to reasons explained during the podcast. Our musical guest is ALL OF THE IPHONE RINGTONES. No, seriously. Enjoy and thanks for listening <3

It's here a week after we recorded it but fuck it, we're in college and have other things to do besides edit podcasts! It's Barbecast 7 with emergency special guest Chris Rodriguez of Baseball Prospectus. He is barely legal and you can follow him at @chrisrod13 (#FollowCrod). We talked about shitty California League parks and other things almost baseball.  Our e-mails obviously included Andrelton and Big Poop. Just your average Barbecast. Oh and for about three minutes we all thought there was a minor league team in Tuscaloosa. We talked about other stuff but I don't remember what it was because it was a week ago. Enjoy!

It's the sixth Cespedes Family Barbecast and this one got pretty graphic. We talked to Wendy Thurm (@hangingsliders on the Tweeterz) about Barry Bonds, conflicting fanhoods and Raul Ibanez...but mostly just about Jew stuff. Our e-mails covered hot dog eating contests, baseball raps and obviously Big Poop. Baseball talk was all about the weird trades that went down. I can't remember anything else and it's almost 2 AM soooooooo here's the Barbecast. Oh, and our music this week is only the greatest song of all time. Thanks for listening <3

COLLEGE DUDES. So we went to college and we decided that on the first saturday afternoon of college there was nothing better to do than to do a baseball podcast. Lucky for you we created this bad boy right here. We talk to Al Chimmichanga of clevelandfan.com and dietribe.com because we wanted to. We touched [...]

Topics include: more big poop, bases, balls, home runs, Christ, believing in one's self, tickles and more. Music from DA BENCH MOBB.

It's the third episode of the Barbecast sponsored by Jordan's 11 year old brother David. Our musical guest this week is unfortunately Jake on the piano again, but we improvised and came up with a fantastic melody for you all to enjoy during the breaks. The e-mails were far from plentiful but they were most definitely interesting; we talked about improved names for home runs, what the ultimate player would look like, and the most important question anyone can ask regarding Mike Trout, Bryce Harper and Giancarlo Stanton. Our special guest is Zach Mortimer (#FollowMort #SingleMortDays) from the press box in Wilmington, Delaware. We talked a bit of baseball and then Mort gave us incredibly emotional advice for our soon-to-be college lives. Baseball talk was limited because we wanted to play MVP Baseball 2004. Thanks for listening <3

It's the moment that all (5) of you have been waiting for. It wasn't easy labor, but the Cespedes Family Barbecast was birthed last night and oh boy is it an ugly child. It's the inaugural episode of the Cespedes Family Barbecast which means technical difficulties galore and a whole lot of bad jokes. This week's episode is sponsored by The Bar That Used To Employ Tom Wilhelmsen. A shocking number of people wrote us e-mails which included fantastic questions on moustaches, the Cubs farm system, dodgeball and which piece of baseball equipment we'd want to be. Our guest is internet superstar Craig Goldstein (@cdgoldstein on the Tweeterz) who writes for FakeTeams and DynastyGuru. We discussed a plethora of riveting topics with Craig including Jeremy Guthrie, Van Morrison and Kyle Farnsworth's anger problems. We reviewed our trip to Hagerstown to see the Suns face the Kannapolis Intimidators and then talked about TRUE NUMBER ONE STARTERS. Thanks for listening <3
